Get Your Subscription and Import It into a Client
Follow the account, plan, subscription, client, and verification steps in order. Skip anything you've already completed. If this is your first time, get it working on your main device before setting up others.
Menu labels can vary between operating systems, clients, and versions. This guide refers to common options such as “Configuration,” “Subscription,” and “Import from URL.” For the exact buttons, supported formats, and permission prompts, follow the client instructions in your account dashboard. If something doesn't match, check your platform and configuration format before continuing.
Create an account and sign in
Use the link below to open the VPNWine account dashboard, then enter a username and password on the account creation page. No email address is required; you'll use this username and password to sign in to the dashboard. Before submitting, make sure your username is easy to recognize and your password is saved securely. A password manager is a good option; avoid leaving it only in a temporary clipboard.
After creating your account, follow the dashboard prompts to open your account overview. If you're taken back to the sign-in page, use the username and password you just saved. Note that this guide is part of the public website, while plan status, orders, downloads, and your personal subscription are managed in the account dashboard. To return later, use the “Sign in” link at the top of the website; there's no need to create another account.
When you first open the dashboard, check which username is signed in. Future payments and subscriptions are linked to that account, so make sure you're not using someone else's session, especially on a shared device or browser. Once you've confirmed the account, continue to the plan section. Creating an account alone does not activate a plan.
Start FreeChoose a plan and confirm your order
In the dashboard's plan section, check the billing method first, then the data allowance. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB; they expire only when used up and never expire otherwise. Monthly plans suit ongoing use with a set monthly allowance, while data packages let you manage usage against a balance. A data package does not replenish monthly.
Before choosing, think about what you typically do online: browsing and documents, AI tools, and video streaming all use different amounts of data. Don't choose a tier based on the number of devices; this service supports unlimited devices at the same time. When using multiple devices, consider the plan's total data allowance rather than treating each device as if it had a separate allowance. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the order details before confirming.
Choose a plan, create the order as prompted, and check the plan, amount, and account before paying with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After payment, return to the dashboard to check the order status and confirm the plan appears in your overview. If the payment page says the payment is complete but the overview hasn't updated, check the original order and refresh its status. Don't create and pay for the same order repeatedly to speed things up. If you still have questions, keep your order details and contact support through the help center or a dashboard ticket.
VPNWine offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. This section covers the purchase process; for billing and refund details, see the Help Center and Terms of Service. Once your plan is active, continue to your personal subscription.
Choose This Plan View Plans →Get your personal subscription link
Open your account overview and find the subscription section. If the dashboard offers an import option for your client, use that first. To import manually, copy the subscription link. This link lets your client retrieve server configurations; it isn't the regular website homepage or a download link. Pasting the website address into a subscription field usually won't load any usable servers.
After copying the link, leave it intact. Don't remove parameters, add spaces, or change its final characters. Don't post your personal link in public forums, chat groups, shared documents, or screenshots; it may contain access credentials. This page shows a fake address for illustration: https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN. It can't be imported; get your actual link from your own account dashboard.
If the expected subscription option isn't in your overview, check the signed-in account, plan status, and order history instead of looking for a link in someone else's screenshot. Once you've copied the link, continue to the client setup. When setting up another device, sign in to your own dashboard on that device and copy the link there, avoiding unnecessary transfers through other channels. If you think the link has been exposed, use the reset option or follow the dashboard ticket instructions. After resetting it, update the subscription saved on your devices.
Open your account overviewImport the subscription on your platform
Choose your operating system in the dashboard's downloads section and read the relevant instructions. After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux without purchasing a plan; getting a client and obtaining an active subscription are separate steps. The iOS download option requires a purchased plan that hasn't expired. If you don't meet this requirement, follow the dashboard prompts. This page doesn't provide direct links to static installers; get clients and subscriptions from the dashboard.
Windows: Import the configuration and connect
Choose the Windows desktop client provided in the dashboard, or a configuration-based client that the dashboard instructions confirm supports your subscription format. Install and open it, then look for “Configuration,” “Subscription management,” or “Import from URL.” If the dashboard offers direct import, click it with the client installed and allow your browser to open the app. If nothing happens, return to the client and import the link there; there's no need to reinstall.
Paste your personal subscription into the import field, save it, and update. When the server list appears, select the configuration you just added, then choose a server. Follow the client instructions to enable the system proxy or the relevant connection mode. Seeing a configuration name doesn't mean your browser traffic is using the server. System permission prompts should correspond to the client action you're performing; if unsure, check the dashboard instructions first.
macOS: Check the configuration and system permissions
Use the macOS client provided in the dashboard, or a desktop configuration-based client that its instructions say supports this subscription format. In the app, open the configuration or subscription page and choose the option to add a remote configuration. Paste the copied link into the URL field, save, and update. If the dashboard supports direct import, confirm the correct client when macOS asks whether to open the app. After importing, return to the app and select the configuration.
When starting a connection, macOS may ask for network configuration or other system permissions, depending on the connection method used by the client. Approve the request that matches the action you're performing, then check that the app has actually connected rather than leaving it on the import-complete screen. If the update succeeds but no servers appear, first confirm that the selected configuration and format match. Don't try random changes to system network settings.
Android: Add the subscription and allow the connection
Get the Android client from the dashboard's downloads section, or choose a subscription-compatible client explicitly supported by the dashboard. Open the configuration, subscription, or remote configuration section and choose to add by URL. Paste your personal link in full and save it. If the dashboard can open the client for import, check that the configuration has been added after switching apps, then update it. The configuration has been read successfully only when the server list appears.
Select a configuration and server, then start the connection. Android may display a VPN connection request to authorize the client to establish the network connection. Confirm that the request comes from the client you just opened before allowing it. Then test the connection in the browser or app you actually use. If per-app settings are enabled, check that the target app is included as intended; don't assume every app uses the same server just because the system status icon is visible.
iOS: Get the client and add a configuration using the dashboard instructions
For an account with a purchased, unexpired plan, open the iOS client section in the dashboard and follow the prompts to get the client from the App Store. Use an iOS configuration-based client that supports the relevant subscription format; follow the options and instructions currently provided in the dashboard. If the download option isn't visible, check your plan status. Don't use installation files for other platforms on iOS.
After installing the client, return to the dashboard and try its import option, or look in the client for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Add from URL.” Paste your personal link, save, and update. Select a configuration and server, then connect and allow the VPN configuration when prompted by iOS. Once permission is granted, check the connection status in the client, then test the app you want to use. If another network configuration was previously enabled, check which one is active so you don't confuse their statuses.
Linux users can also get the relevant client from the dashboard's downloads section and choose a subscription format as instructed. On any platform, the steps are the same: get a client, add the subscription, update the server list, then select a configuration and connect. Protocol differences and complex troubleshooting are beyond the scope of this guide. If importing fails, see Connection and Troubleshooting FAQ.
Get a clientConnect to a server and verify it works
Once the server list appears, choose a location that the target service allows, then connect. During your first test, keep the configuration unchanged. Don't switch locations, connection modes, and per-app rules at the same time; otherwise, it will be hard to tell which setting made a difference. For server types and location options, see the Server Directory. There's no need to try every server on your first connection.
First, check that the client has connected, then verify the traffic itself. Compare your exit location and IP before and after connecting using the same IP lookup method and browser or app environment. A changed exit IP is a useful clue, but with split tunneling, different websites may use different routes. A result from one lookup page can't replace a test of the service you actually want to use. If you need to investigate further, check DNS and per-app rules as well.
Next, open the website or app you actually want to use and check that it loads, keeps your session active, and supports your usual tasks. A streaming page loading doesn't guarantee that a particular regional catalog or video quality will be available. Likewise, being able to connect to an AI tool doesn't change your account region, subscription eligibility, or payment requirements. Assess network connectivity separately from platform account requirements; not every platform warning means there's a server problem.
If you still can't access a service after connecting, retrace the setup: is the correct configuration selected, can the subscription update, have you chosen a server, is the connection enabled, are system permissions granted, and is the target app included in the proxy rules? Change one relevant setting at a time and retest under the same conditions. If the cause is still unclear, describe your device's operating system, client, selected location, and error message in a dashboard support ticket. Before sharing a screenshot, hide your personal subscription and sensitive account details.
Once you've verified the connection, repeat the import process on your other devices. VPNWine supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, with unlimited devices connected at the same time. Each device needs its own configuration and permissions. If the server list changes later, update the existing subscription instead of creating a new account. For everyday questions, see the Help Center. For system-specific information on regional catalogs, native IPs, video quality, and platform errors, continue to the Streaming Guide.
