Subscription, Routes & Troubleshooting
First identify where the issue occurs, then look up the relevant answer. Check your account, client configuration, route connection, and target app separately.
Choose a category below to jump to it, then select a question to expand the answer. To report a specific issue, submit a ticket through the user panel.
Account & Subscription
Create an account, import your configuration, update your subscription, and learn what to keep when switching devices.
Do I need an email address to create an account?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Save your username exactly as entered, and choose a unique password you don't use on other sites. When switching browsers or devices, sign in with the same account to find your orders and subscription. Never include your password in a support ticket screenshot. If you can't sign in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and any spaces before or after your details, then contact support through the user panel.
Where can I find my subscription link, and what should I do after importing it?
Sign in to the user panel and find the subscription option in your account overview. Then use your client’s import or add-subscription feature to set it up. A subscription link provides route configuration; it is neither an installer nor a regular webpage address. After importing it, make sure the configuration is selected and connect through the client, then test the app you want to use. You must be signed in to access your subscription. Don’t post the full link in public forums, and hide identifying details in screenshots.
How do I update my subscription link? Should I delete the old configuration?
In most clients, go to subscription management or configuration settings and choose the option to update your subscription. Then check that the route list has refreshed. Switching routes alone won’t fetch updated subscription details. If the update fails, check your local connection, make sure the subscription address is complete, and verify its status in the user panel. Don’t delete a configuration that still works. If the panel shows a new subscription address, import it and confirm the new configuration works before removing the old one.
Do I need a new plan when I switch devices? Can I connect on multiple devices at once?
You can connect an unlimited number of devices at once, and switching devices doesn’t require choosing a new plan for the same account. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, get the client and subscription for that platform, and import the configuration. Supported platforms: Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data. Keep an eye on your account’s data usage across devices using the same subscription; downloads, cloud sync, and video streaming can all use data continuously.
Where can I download the client, and what should I do if my subscription link is exposed?
Download clients from the user panel and follow the instructions for your device platform. Sign in to download on Android / Windows / macOS / Linux; the iOS download option requires an active plan. If your subscription link is made public, remove the post first, then check the panel for an option to reset the link. If you can’t resolve it yourself, contact support. After a reset, update the configuration on every device so none continue using the old address.
Connection & Troubleshooting
Check your local connection first, then your configuration and app rules. Keeping the exact error message is more useful than repeatedly reinstalling the client.
The client says it’s connected, but webpages won’t load. What should I check first?
Temporarily disconnect the client and check whether your local connection can access familiar websites. If your local connection is having issues, fix those first. Then reconnect the client, make sure the configuration and route are selected, and test another route. If all apps are affected, check your system proxy, network permissions, and possible conflicts with other networking tools. If only a specific site fails, save the error message and troubleshoot that app or site separately.
Why can I browse the web, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?
Not every app uses the system proxy. Some have their own network settings, or may be set to connect directly by your current routing rules. First, check whether the client’s rules cover the app or domain, then review the app’s own proxy settings. If the client offers a virtual network or traffic-capture feature, check its permissions and configuration as instructed. Don’t enable multiple traffic-capture tools at once unless you understand what they do. Restart the app after making changes and test the connection again.
Is a failed subscription update the same as a failed route connection?
No. A subscription update fetches configuration in the client; a route connection uses an existing configuration to establish a network connection. The existing configuration may still work even if an update fails. First, check the subscription status and address in the panel. Then see whether the client reports that it couldn’t fetch the content, parse it, or connect. Note the exact error before troubleshooting, and avoid repeatedly deleting configurations. When you contact support, describe the update result and connection result separately to help pinpoint the issue.
How do I reconnect after switching networks or waking my device from sleep?
Switching networks or waking from sleep can disrupt an existing connection. First, make sure your device is back online, then disconnect and reconnect in the client. If that doesn’t work, quit and reopen the client, and check that the system proxy is in the expected state. On mobile devices, also check background activity permissions and battery-saving settings to prevent the system from pausing the client. If the issue keeps happening in the same situation, note how the network changed, your device platform, and the client’s error message instead of reporting only an occasional disconnect.
What information should I include in a connection support ticket?
Include your device platform, client name, selected region and route type, network environment, and which apps work or fail. The exact error message, when it occurred, and steps you’ve already tried are more helpful than simply saying you can’t connect. Check logs and screenshots for private information, and hide your password, full subscription link, and other account credentials. Submit the ticket through the user panel. You can add test results to the same ticket after support replies.
Speed & Routes
Choose a route based on your destination and use, then check how your apps perform. Route type, speed-test results, and platform access are different measures.
How should I choose between an IEPL dedicated route, a relayed route, and a direct route?
Route types describe the connection path; they aren’t a speed ranking that applies to every network. Actual performance on IEPL dedicated, relayed, and direct routes depends on your local carrier, destination region, and the service you’re accessing. Start by choosing an exit region for your intended use, then compare different route types in the same region. Don’t assume a route is faster based on its name alone. Keep routes that work well and note the network conditions that cause problems so you can switch more effectively later.
Video stutters during peak hours. How can I tell whether to switch routes or check my local connection?
Pause background downloads, cloud sync, and similar tasks, then check how familiar local websites are loading. If local access is also noticeably slow, check your Wi-Fi signal, router, and connection from your carrier first. If the issue is mainly with a particular video, switch to another route in the same region on the same network and compare buffering and picture quality. Keep test conditions consistent; don’t change your device, video quality, and network all at once. Peak-hour performance can vary, so one test doesn’t predict long-term results.
Which regions do the routes cover? Should I choose the closest one?
VPNWine covers 90+ countries / 160+ routes. Check the route list in the user panel or your subscription for currently available options. A nearby region can be a useful starting point, but geographic distance doesn’t necessarily reflect the actual network path or determine performance. For international sites, consider the region where the service is based. For region-specific content, also check the platform’s and account’s regional requirements. Browse the route directory before choosing to compare regions and route types.
My speed test looks good. Why are video and AI tools still slow or unreliable?
Speed-test sites and the services you use may take different network paths, so download speed alone doesn’t reflect how every app will perform. Video can also depend on platform region, account access, device decoding, and picture-quality settings. AI tools may check your account region, exit address, or service eligibility. Test in the app itself and distinguish slow loading from video buffering or account restrictions. If you see a specific region or access message, check the platform’s requirements instead of assuming every error is caused by low bandwidth.
Does a residential IP guarantee access to streaming services or AI tools?
An IP labeled as residential doesn’t guarantee a particular result. Platforms may consider your exit address, account region, payment details, and their own service rules, and their checks can change. A route connecting successfully doesn’t mean all content on a platform will be accessible. Check the platform’s supported regions and account requirements, then test in the app. If you see a region-related message, save its exact wording and note the route you selected. VPNWine doesn’t guarantee permanent access to any platform based on a region label; availability depends on actual access at the time.
Billing & Refunds
Check prices and billing methods separately. Monthly plan data resets on your activation date; data packages last until used and never expire.
How much is a monthly plan, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. Choose a plan based on your actual video, download, and multi-device usage. Check the plan and billing method, then confirm the order in the user panel. Use the panel to check your remaining data and subscription status; the client’s local usage counter may differ from the account’s billing records.
How do data packages differ from monthly plans? Can I upgrade partway through a plan?
Data packages cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets each month on your activation date. Compare the billing methods with your usage habits; data packages aren’t monthly allowances. If you upgrade a monthly plan partway through its term, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Check the confirmation page in the panel for the exact change. If it involves an existing order or data package, contact support first to confirm how it will be handled.
Which payment methods are supported? What if my payment doesn’t appear?
We accept Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Start the payment process from your order in the user panel, and check the amount and instructions shown. If the status hasn’t updated after payment, refresh your order list and check whether a payment record is already present before trying again. If you still need help, submit a ticket with your order details, proof of payment, and a screenshot of the current status. Hide any account details that aren’t relevant. Don’t use the client’s connection status to determine whether an order has been paid.
How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?
7-day no-questions-asked refunds. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a support ticket stating that you’d like a refund, with the relevant order details for verification. The refund terms in the Terms of Service contain the full conditions. If you’re also having connection issues, you can include the error and route details in your ticket, but troubleshooting isn’t a substitute for stating that you want a refund. Keep your order and support correspondence. Don’t send your password or full subscription link; follow up in the same ticket.
My data is being used faster than expected. How can I check what’s consuming it?
Start by checking data usage in your account overview, then review each device using the same subscription. HD video, system updates, cloud storage sync, background downloads, and automatic app updates can all use data continuously. Unlimited simultaneous devices doesn’t remove your plan’s data limit. Pause unnecessary background tasks and check whether routing rules are sending traffic through the client when it doesn’t need to. If you suspect someone else is using your subscription, follow the steps for an exposed subscription link to check and update your configuration.
